Amazon’s vision for a nearly 3,000-acre data center campus just outside Houston is making waves in our area—and as someone who’s watched Katy and West Houston evolve over two decades, I know developments like this can shape the future in big ways. With $10 billion earmarked for the project, 10 new buildings, and projected use of 75 MW of power plus 500 acre-feet of water each year, it’s no surprise that local conversations are heating up around resources and community impact.
